Hairy Bittercress

This broadleaf weed is often found growing in thin lawn areas and in or around garden beds.  

  • Found late winter through spring
  • Winter annual
  • 6" to 10" tall
  • Begins as a rosette of leaflets, each with 1-3 pairs of their own leaflets, then develops flowering seed stems
  • Seed stems extend upward with 4-petaled white flowers in clusters at the top 
  • Spreads by seeds when matured capsules pop explosively

    Arich and his partner went above and beyond yesterday applying leafgro and organic soil enhancement to my huge yard.
